Registered nurses with profiles in the federal Express Entry pool were invited to apply for a provincial nomination in Nova Scotia’s latest PNP (Provincial Nominee Program) draw to have the opportunities to get Canadian permanent residence status.
REQUIREMENTS:
- The applicant needs to have at least three years of experience as a registered nurse or psychiatric nurse, in NOC 3012 in Canada's National Occupational Classification Index.
- The applicant must also achieve an 8-point scale in all English or French skills, as required by the Canadian Language Benchmark.
- Applicants must have a bachelor's degree or have completed a higher education program of at least 3 years in length.
In the case of a degree received from a foreign country, an applicant must submit an additional Education Credential Assessment report.
WHY DO CANDIDATES NEED TO HAVE PROFILES IN EXPRESS ENTRY?
Express Entry manages applications for Canadian permanent residence through three federal immigration programs: Federal Skilled Worker Program (FSWP), Federal Skilled Trades Program (FSTP), and Canadian Experience Class (CEC).
Express Entry candidates are ranked on the Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS). They are awarded points based on factors such as their age, work experience, education, and language ability in English or French.
APPLICATION DEADLINE
Candidates invited to join in this program have 60 days to complete their application.
If they receive the provincial nomination from Nova Scotia, they will automatically be awarded an additional 600 CRS points, which will effectively guarantee that they will receive an Invitation to Apply (ITA) in a subsequent Express Entry draw.
