1. ESL FOUNDATION PROGRAM AT THE REAL INSTITUTE

Purpose:

To support international students who have met the academic requirements to be able to pursue a bachelor program at RyeU, but have not yet met the English language proficiency requirements.

Teaching content:

Including English and academic skills along with university-related courses.

The ESL program has 3 levels, with different admission requirements and enrollment periods, specifically:

Note:

• The number of university credits that students accumulate is equivalent to the number of ESL terms at RyeU (for example: Students studying 2 terms of ESL will accumulate 02 credits before entering the main course). Thus, at the end of the course, students will have 1 to 3 university credits with a solid foundation of knowledge to enter the main bachelor program.
• Students with IELTS 6.0 and enrol in September intake can take the time of January of the next year to enroll at Ryerson's Chang School of Continuing Education to accumulate credits before starting the main course at RyeU in September of the same year
• If students meet the requirements earlier than the intended schedule, students have the right to adjust the study time and have the opportunity to receive up to 2 more credits before entering the main course at RyeU.

2. RYERSON INERNATIONAL UNIVERSITY FOUNDATION PROGRAM -IUFP

Purpose:

For international students who have met the English language requirements but have not yet met the academic requirements for the selected program, to support students wishing to improve their academic level and personal understanding foundation before officially entering the main program at RyeU.

Teaching content:

A combination of academic and non-academic courses, besides: learning labs, meeting with lecturers, consulting appointments with experts in student support, studying with friends, and extracurricular activities and experiential learning

Intake: Sep

Study time: 8 months

Note:

• After completing the program, students can accumulate 4-6 credits with the confidence to enter the main course.
• Among these are credits mandatory for graduation
